BOOK REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Open Season by Linda Howard - CONTEST CLOSED
Librarian Daisy Minor awakes to her 34th birthday ready to make a change. Hillsboro's renowned "old maid" is determined to find herself a man. But first, a makeover is necessary. New hair - check. Make-up - check. New clothes - check.. With a few tips from her gay friend, Todd, Daisy is ready to make the rounds of the dance clubs and get her husband. But what she sees while she's out puts a big target on her newly made-over tush.
That target puts the attentions of Chief Jack Russo on Daisy's tush - er - person as well. And in order to protect said person, Jack feels that he has to be near her as much as possible, even if it means that people think they're together! But how on earth is Daisy supposed to find a man if everyone already thinks she has one? And besides, manly and athletic Jack Russo is so NOT her type! That's what she thinks!
I was delightfully surprised by this book. I was expecting more thriller than romance, but it was exactly the opposite. And, as it turns out, it was just what I needed! Jack and Daisy are clearly opposites, but they come together so nicely. They argue and poke and prod each other like only two people meant to be can do. My rating: 4/5.
This one is up for a raffle! In order to enter, please comment below. Since the title is Open Season, I want to know what your favorite season is and why! For me, that season is fall. Of course, my birthday and anniversary are in the fall, so that helps! And I love the colors and the smell of burning leaves! A winner will be chosen at random on December 14th!

Hey, cool Winter theme!
No need to enter me, as usual. I'm just dropping in to say thanks for the e-mail. I've got this posted at Win a Book for you.
I love the Spring...for that is when life begins anew for so much of our outdoors! And Spring means that Summer is right around the corner and I love the summer yet sometimes it gets alittle to hot.
So Spring it is!!!
Thanks so much,
Darby

My favorite season is spring too! I like that the weather gets warmer, and I love it when the cherry blossoms bloom. After months and months of cold rain, it is wonderful to see the sun again in the spring and actually feel warmth in the air.

I love spring because the snow leaves lol, I hate snow so there is nothing better then seeing it melt away! And I like spring because all the birds come back and there all chirpy and happy and outside is starting to look nice again with the grass geting greener and the trees starting to get leaves back and the flowers growing. Thanks for entering me.
My favorite season is definitely summer. I love the warm weather and there is always so much to do outside! Thanks for the giveaway!

I used to like winter the best -- snuggling into warm clothes, hot chocolate, Santa! But in the last few years, I've flipped and now summer is my favorite. I love going to the beach after work and having all those "extra" hours of daylight. Bundling up in heavy clothes has lost its appeal. Thanks for the chance to win this book! It sounds like fun.

I think I like winter best. Christmas, hot chocolate, sweaters, friends and family, cookies. If only it weren't so cold.

Hello! Sounds like a great book to sit by the fireplace in the evening and read away. Autumn is my favorite season hands down. I like the cool, crisp air. No humidity! Hayrides, Pumpkins, Halloween, Thanksgiving, the changing leaves and sweater. Please enter me in your delightful book drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

Fall is my favorite season. It seems like the world slows down just a little ~ for just awhile.
I'd love to be entered to win Open Season by Linda Howard.

I love Fall. The colors change, the heat of summer is gone but the cold of winter hasn't come yet.
I love the Spring! Everything is starting to grow, and bloom. The air feels fresh and crisp, I love it!!
Reminds me a bit of the only book I've read by Linda Howard, Mr. Perfect.
My favorite season is probably fall weather-wise and winter because I spend two weeks with family every December (and my birthday is in this month too lol).
My favorite season is summer because I get to spend alot of time outdoors. We grill out a couple of times a week whenit's warm and have drive-in night, showing movies on a big screen in the backyard. Tons of friends and family come over for Drive-in Night.

I love spring for the new life that is starting.
I love summer for my wedding anniversary.

Fall is my favorite time of year. The smells, the changing of the tree colors, sweater weather and my birthday is also during the fall.
I love winter, it has Christmas, and besides the hot flashes are way easier to manage in the winter. lol
My favorite season is spring, because my birthday is then, and my daughter's birthday. Thanks for the great giveaway!
